Shirlee A. Upperstrom

Shirlee Ann Upperstrom, age 73, of Iron River, Michigan, passed away September 25, 2016 at U.P. Health system, Marquette, Michigan. She was born September 13, 1943, in Stambaugh, MI, the daughter of the late Edward and Hilda (Rooney) Williams. She graduated from the Stambaugh High School in 1961. Shirlee married Allen Upperstrom on May 4, 1963 at the First Lutheran Church of Iron River. She was employed as a bank teller for 17 years. She was a member of the First Lutheran Church of Iron River. She enjoyed bowling and was active in church activities. Shirlee is survived by her daughters, Lori Upperstrom of Coon Rapids, MN, Lisa (Ken) Weium of Blaine, MN; grandchildren, Kayla, Robby and Olivia; great grandchild, Daniel; niece, Linda (Dick) Koenig; great niece, Alicia Koenig; special friends, Linda Maki, Diana Westphal, Jill Sabotta, Carol Sundelius, Marguerite Christian, Cheryl Gagnea, Terry Nichols, and Gayle Claus. She was preceded in death by her husband, Allen; companion, Guy Quayle; nephew, Don Williams and her brother, Jerry Williams. Visitation will be held Thursday, September 29, 2016 from 9:00 to 10:45 a.m. at Jacobs Funeral Home in Iron River. Funeral services will follow at the First Lutheran Church at 11:00 a.m. with Rev.
