Stavy Bernadette Brunelli Age 96 Caspian, MI. Passed away July 9, 2012 at St. Elizabeth 's Hospital in Appleton, WI; having lived with her daughter for the past 8 years in Neenah, WI. Born March 27, 1916 in Iron River, MI. The daughter of the late Walter and Bernice (Novasotka) Hemeleski attended the Iron Lake School and Iron River High School and graduated with the Class of 1933. After graduating she went to work in Chicago for a short time and returned to Iron River. Stavy married Leno T. Brunelli on September 24, 1942 at the Assumption Church and the couple made their home in Caspian. Following her marriage to Leno, Stavy worked at Montgomery Wards. She also worked at Krom 's Department Store while Leno was in the service. The couple celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary in 1992. Stavy was a member of St. Cecilia Catholic Church of Caspian, St. Ann 's Society and Daughters of Isabella. She enjoyed playing bocce ball and playing cards. Stavy loved cooking for her family and teaching them how to make food from their heritage. She was preceded in death by her husband, Leno in 1996, and 3 brothers, Raymond, Stanley, and John Hemeleski. She is survived by her daughter, Adrian (Richard) Johnson of Neenah, WI. Grandchildren, Renee (Peter) Breister, Aaron (Samantha) Johnson Rachelle (Derek) Gutschow Former Grandson-in-Law, Stephen Shelley Great Grandchildren, Adria, Sophia, and Selia Shelley Seth and Alex Johnson Ayden and Anthony Gutschow Great Step-Grandchildren, Colton and Matthew Breister, 6 nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held Friday, July 13th, 2012 from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at the Jacobs Funeral Home, Iron River. Funeral Services will be held Friday July 13th, 2012 at 12:30 p.m. at St. Cecilia Catholic Church with the Rev. Gregory Veneklase to offer the Mass of Christian Burial. The Ladies of St. Ann 's Society will form an Honor Guard at the service. Interment in Stambaugh Cemetery, Iron River, MI The family suggests memorials to St. Cecilia Catholic Church in Caspian.
