Stephen C. Dobson

Stephen “Steve” C. Dobson, age 63, of Iron River, Michigan, passed away Monday, September 19, 2016 at his home.   He was born May 14, 1953, in Stambaugh, Michigan, the son of the late Ellis and Eunice (Swanson) Dobson.  He attended the West Iron County Schools, graduating with the Class of 1972. Steve married Lori Lombardini on February 15, 1985 in Eagle River, Wisconsin, and the couple made their home in Stambaugh Township. They celebrated their 31st wedding anniversary this year. He was employed by the City of Iron River for 15 years. He was a member of the Laborer’s Union of Iron Mountain, ASFME, and Sons of the Legion and VFW. He enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren, hunting, fishing, playing pool, gambling on the machines and having cocktails with family and friends. Steve is survived by his wife, Lori ; son, Craig of Iron River; daughter, Casey (Chuck Olson) Dobson of Iron River; grandchildren, Trey Harris and Makenzie and Hunter Dobson; brother, Robert (Paulette) of Eau Claire, WI; sisters, Linda Dobson of Iron River and Debra (Robert) Waligursky of Caspian; brother-in-law, Duane (Jane) Lombardini of Iron River; sisters-in –law, Cheryl (Paul) Donati of Gaastra, Lynn (Robert “Buddy”) Burke of Iron River; numerous nieces, nephews and extended family. He was preceded in death by his nephew Christopher Dobson and niece, Brienne Donati. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
