Steven M. Dams

Steven M. Dams, age 61, of Iron River, MI, passed away on April 26, 2023. He was born on September 11, 1961, in Stambaugh, MI, the son of the late Jerome and Martha (Waino) Dams. He attended the West Iron County Schools. Steven married Kim Fraid on February 7, 2015. They celebrated their 5th wedding anniversary in 2020. Kim preceded him in death on October 7, 2020. He was employed as a laborer at Northeastern Products in Caspian, MI before retiring. Steven grew up attended the St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Beechwood. He loved trout fishing, riding his motorcycle, jamming out to his music, cutting firewood, and spending time in the woods. Steven is survived by son, TJ Dams of Iron River, MI; sisters, Karen (Bill) Kollmann of Quinnesec, MI and Judy (Tom) Vonck of Appleton, WI; granddaughters, Joanna Marie and Allison Mae Dams, both of Iron River, MI; nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family and friends. He was also preceded in death by his brother, Edward Dams. A Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, June 17, 2023, from 12:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. at the Beechwood Hall.
