Steven Hackett

Steven J. Hackett, age 70, of Iron River, MI, passed away on January 19, 2021. He was born on August 24, 1950 in Elmira, NY, the son of the late Edward and Lois (Hamilton) Hackett. He graduated from Orange High School in Orange, CA in 1968. Steven married Jan Haldin on May 5, 1985 at Lake Tahoe, NV. The couple celebrated 32 wonderful years together. Jan preceded him in death on October 22, 2017. He was a retired salesman and owned several businesses throughout his lifetime. Steven enjoyed golfing, playing the guitar, and fishing. Steven is survived by his daughters, Amber Lee (Barry Wheelis) Sarafiny of Iron River, MI and Kelli (Josh) Hackett Crane of Lake Forest, CA; brothers, Lee Hackett of Crystal Falls, MI and Daniel Hackett of Arizona; grandchildren, Isabelle Vander Steen, Winter Little, Shane Kretzschmar, Tess, Zane, and Raegan Sarafiny, and Jameson Crane; great grandchildren, Octavia Vander Steen and Gary Newby; nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. He was preceded in death by his brother, Bruce Hackett and granddaughter, Adrianna Lee Ceron. Private services will be held.
