Susan M. Gibbens

Susan M. Gibbens, 57, of Iron River, MI passed away on Thursday, June 25, 2026.

She was born on May 2, 1969, in Andalusia, AL, the daughter of the late James and Ruby (Williams) Cunningham. She received an associate degree from Salem International University.

Susan married Robert Gibbens on September 15, 2003, in Alabama. They celebrated their 22nd wedding anniversary in 2025.

She was employed as a manager at Global Response in Iron River. Susan enjoyed arts and crafts, drawing and coloring, going out with her friends, cooking, and she loved her cats. Most important to Susan was loving and taking care of her children and family.

Susan is survived by her husband, Robert; children, Ruby and Zachary Gibbens; and extended family and friends.

Private family services will be held.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the family in care of the Jacobs Funeral Home.
