Susan M. Henry

Susan ""Sue"" M. Henry Age 66 Iron River, MI Passed away Saturday, October 27, 2012 at Northstar Health System, Iron River after a long, courageous battle with cancer. She was born August 4, 1946 in Stambaugh, MI, the daughter of the late Wallace and Merle (Olson) Choquette. She attended the Stambaugh Schools, graduating from Stambaugh High School with the Class of 1964. Sue married James Henry on August 27, 1966 at the First Presbyterian Church of Iron River. James preceded her in death on August 13, 1987. She was employed as a bookkeeper for Dobson Accounting for over 20 years and spent the rest of her career at Andrew F. Davis PC. Sue was an active 4-H Leader, member of the Upper Peninsula Horse Association and the Upper Peninsula Quarter Horse Association. She was an avid horse enthusiast and enjoyed working in her flower garden. Her grandchildren and great grandchildren were the light in her eyes. She is survived by her life partner, Robert ""Bob"" W. Vassar Daughter, Kristine M. Schmidt Brothers, Jon Choquette Dean (Johanna) Choquette Three grandchildren, Desera (Eric) Pilon, Elizabeth (Damon) Thompson Myles Thompson Two great grandchildren, Grace Marie and Jackson Kade She was also preceded in death by her brother, Wallace Choquette and sister, Marilyn Sundelius. Visitation will be held Thursday, November 1, 2012 from 4:00 to 4:30 p.m. at the Jacobs Funeral Home of Iron River. The memorial service will follow with Pastor Dawn Treado Green to officiate. Interment will be at Iron River City Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family wishes to donate contributions they receive to Breast Cancer Research in Susan 's name.
