Sylvia Orchard

Sylvia Orchard, age 84 of Iron River, Mi, passed away Thursday December 24, 2020 at the Iron County Medical Care Facility in Crystal Falls due to complications from Alzheimer’s and Dementia. She was born October 1, 1936 in Camborne, England and married George Orchard, an airman stationed in England, on December 26, 1958. The couple celebrated their 56th wedding anniversary in 2014, before George’s passing on October 1, 2015. She was an active member of the Iron River Bible Church and enjoyed her time spent at church. Her hobbies included cooking and working puzzles. She enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Sylvia is survived by her sons Steven David (Sandra) Orchard of Kingsford, MI; Paul Christopher (Wendy) Orchard of Xenia, Ohio, and Tristan Timothy Orchard of Iron River, MI; Sister Monica Dean of Camborne, England, and 8 grandchildren: Sara, Sabrina, Brendan, Ryan, Trevor, Kyle, Amber and Tristan Jr., along with 5 great grand-kids. A private funeral service will be held in the spring, with burial at the Iron River City Cemetery.
