Ted L. Gibneski

Ted L. Gibneski, age 60, of Iron River, MI, passed away unexpectedly Thursday, July 7, 2016 at Aspirus Iron River Hospital. He was born August 24, 1955 in Stambaugh, MI, the son of Lawrence Gross and Joan M. (Gill) Gross Gibneski, and step-father, Theodore Gibneski.   He attended the West Iron County Schools and graduated with the Class of 1974. Ted was employed by Waste Management for over 20 years and was a lifelong resident of Iron County. He enjoyed being in the outdoors, hunting, fishing, and coffee clutch at Citgo. Ted is survived by his sisters, Bonnie (Larry) Evanoff of Caspian, and Patricia (John) Roberts of Iron River; nieces and nephews, Jodi Evanoff, and her children, Riley and Reece Sleik, John (Ashley Ferrara) Roberts, Timothy Roberts, and Lisa Evanoff and her daughter, Olivia. He was preceded in death by his father, Lawrence  Gross, mother Joan Gross Gibneski, stepfather, Theodore Gibneski, and  nephew Jeffrey Evanoff. Visitation will be held Monday, July 11, 2016 from 11:00 a.m. to 12:45 p.m. at the Jacobs Funeral Home of Iron River. Funeral services will follow at 1 p.m. with Rev. Paul Starkweather to officiate.
