Terri A. Johnson

Terri A. Johnson, age 57, of Iron River, MI, passed away on Saturday, September 8, 2018 at the Aspirus Iron River Hospital. She was born on October 4, 1960 in Evanston, IL; the daughter of Virginia (Saxon) Byczek and the late Robert Byczek. She attended the West Iron County Schools, graduating with the Class of 1978. Terri married Richard “Rick” Johnson on October 28, 1978 at the First Lutheran Church in Iron River. The couple celebrated their 39th wedding anniversary in 2017.   She was a member of First Lutheran Church. She enjoyed working on craft and art projects, nature, camping, attending music festivals, hammerschlagen, knitting and crocheting then donating items to cancer centers, riding the Harley with Rick, going to rummage sales, and photography. Terri also enjoyed meeting new people and making new friends. Her favorite places were the shores of Lake Superior and the Porcupine Mountains.  Terri is survived by her husband, Rick; daughter, Amy (Adam Feld) Johnson of Green Bay, WI; son, Cory (fiancé Nicole Buss) Johnson of Iron River;  brother, Robert (Kathy) Byczek Jr. and Kris Byczek, both of Iron River; sister, Debi (Lui) Caradonna of Iron River; mother-in-law, Adeline Johnson of Iron River, MI; sister-in-law, Sheree (Ronald) Mariani of Ishpeming, MI; grandchildren, Kaitlyn Madaski and Brooke, Michelle, and Domanick Johnson; extended family and friends. She was preceded in death by her father-in-law, Robert Johnson. Visitation will be held on Saturday, September 15, 2018 from 9:00 to 10:30 a.m. at the Jacobs Funeral Home of Iron River.
