Thaddeus J. Kozicki, Jr.

Thaddeus J. Kozicki, Jr., age 80, of Iron River, MI, passed away on Monday, December 14, 2020 at the Iron River Care Center. He was born on December 30, 1939 in Grand Haven, MI, the son of the late Thaddeus and Mary (Pekich) Kozicki, Sr. Thaddeus graduated from St. Joseph Seminary and High School. He then attended Western Michigan University, earning at Bachelor of Science degree and continued his education at Emporia State University, where he earned at Master of Science degree. Thaddeus married the former Frances Nethercott on May 7, 1960 at St. Patrick’s Church in Grand Haven, MI. The couple celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary this year. He was a retired teacher for Maize Complete High School in Maize, KS. He was a member of St. Agnes Catholic Church in Iron River. He enjoyed geology, history, reading, and gardening. Thaddeus is survived by his wife, Frances; children, Patrick (Sherry) Kozicki, Nancy Parra, Paul Kozicki, Mary (Thomas) Koronkiewicz, and Kathleen Lefert; brother, David (Michelle) Kozicki; sisters, Shirley Kozicki and Joan (Gary) Revers; grandchildren, Ashley (Michael) DiFiore, Thomas Parra, Ethan Lefert, Jared Lefert, Brandon Lefert, Stephanie Kozicki, Jessica (Dusty) Thaca, Alisha (Patrick) Williams, Patrick Kozicki Jr., Carissa Baker, Joshua Koronkiewicz, Melissa (CR) Kuder, and Nicholas (Kelsey) Koronkiewicz; 10 great grandchildren; nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
