Theodore "Ted" Ridolphi

Theodore “Ted” G. Ridolphi, 85, of Iron River MI, passed away on Sunday September 11, 2022, at Aspirus Iron River Hospital. He was born on October 8, 1936, in Iron River, MI, the son of the late Guido and Steva (Meyers) Ridolphi. Ted attended the Iron River Schools, graduating with the class of 1954 and later attended Michigan Technological University. He was a US Navy veteran serving on submarines. Ted married Mary Jane Groop on September 19, 1959, at St. Agnes Catholic Church in Iron River. They celebrated their 62nd wedding anniversary in 2021. He was a handyman and licensed plumber. Ted worked as the manager for Northern Propane Gas Co. He owned and operated a Trustworthy Hardware in Gwinn, MI. Ted also worked at Lakeshore, Ski Brule, and Forslund Building Supply. Ted attended St. Agnes Catholic Church and was a former member of the Iron River Elks Lodge #1671. He enjoyed hunting, fly fishing, skeet shooting, poker night and time with friends at hunting camp. Ted is survived by his wife, Mary Jane; daughter, Cheryl (Trey) Greene of Pilot Point, TX and her daughter, Brittany and Brittany’s daughter, Adaleigh; son, Michael Ridolphi of Iron River, MI and his children, Daniel and Daniel’s children, Anthony and Alexis and Stephanie and her children, Gracie and Ava; son, David (Sue) Ridolphi of Marquette, MI and his children, Craig, Amanda, Hailey, and Tiffany and Craig’s son Desmond, and Amanda’s children Kinsley and Ryker; nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends. He was also preceded in death by his sister, Joanne Rogerts. Visitation will be held on Friday, September 23, 2022, from 9:30 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at the Jacobs Funeral Home of Iron River. A Liturgy of the Word service will follow at 11 a.m. with Deacon Terry Verville to officiate. Interment will be in Resthaven Cemetery.
