Theressa A. Passamani

Mrs. Theressa A. Passamani, age 97, Iron River, MI died Monday, October 22, 2007 at Masonic Health Care Center, Dousman, WI. Born: February 22, 1910 in Crystal Falls, MI The daughter of the late Henry and Elizabeth (Whitcomb) Roberts attended the Crystal Falls schools. She married Joseph Passamani on February 26, 1930 at St. Agnes Catholic Church, Iron River. The couple made their home in Iron River and celebrated their 66th wedding anniversary in 1996. Joseph preceded her in death on December 29, 1996. She owned and operated the Model Cafe in Iron River from 1934 to 1948. She was a well known caterer in the area for many years. She was a member of St. Agnes Catholic Church of Iron River, St. Agnes Altar Society, and the Daughters of Isabella. Theressa was also preceded in death by daughter and son-in-law, Theresa Meehan and W. Wayne Meehan; infant daughter Jolene; brother, Merle Roberts; three half-sisters, Marie, Bernice, and Loretta Marcell; one great grandchild, Jacob Meehan. She is survived by six grandchildren, Mark Meehan Tim (Caroline) Meehan John Meehan Annie (Paul) Valenick Michael (Julie) Meehan Mary (Steve) Schafer Eleven great grandchildren Three step-great grandchildren Two great, great grandchildren Two brothers, Elmer (Stella) Roberts of Iron Mountain, MI Henry ""Bud"" (Ruth) Roberts of Sattelite Beach , FL Nieces and nephews Visitation: Thursday, October 25, 2007 from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the Jacobs Funeral Home, Iron River. A Liturgical Prayer Service will be conducted at 7:30p.m. Funeral Service: Friday, October 26, 2007 at 2:00 p.m. at St. Agnes Catholic Church, Iron River with Rev. Norman Clisch, pastor to offer the Mass of Christian Burial. The Daughters of Isabella will form an honor guard at the funeral. Interment: Bates Township Cemetery, Iron River.
