Thomas Angeli

Thomas A. ""Tony"" Angeli, 60, of Iron River, passed away Thursday, August 8, 2013 at Northstar Health System. He was born May 16, 1953 in Muskegon, MI, son of Thomas and Eleanor (Grandelius) Angeli. He attended the West Iron County Schools, graduating with the Class of 1971. He then attended Northern Michigan University, Marquette, MI, for his Business Degree. He was a store manager for Selins, Inc. of Iron River and was later employed as a Corrections Officer by the Federal Bureau of Corrections for over 20 years. Tony served as an Altar Boy at St. Agnes Catholic Church, and was a member of the Iron County Democratic Party and Democratic National Committee. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, gardening, and golfing, and was on the golf team when he was in high school. He spent many hours with the family dog, Misty. He was preceded in death by his father, Thomas Angeli. Tony is survived by his mother, Eleanor Angeli Spigarelli of Iron River; siblings, Everett (Rhonda) Angeli of Iron River, Mary (David) Arcand of Crystal Falls, and David (Penny) Angeli of Albers, IL; nieces and nephews, Kristie (Brian Berg) Angeli, Jayni Marie Angeli, Christi (Sean) Raphael, Craig Arcand, Taylor Angeli, Zachery Angeli, and Alexandra Angeli; extended family and friends. Visitation will be held Tuesday, August 13, 2013 from 9:00 to 10:45 a.m. at the Jacobs Funeral Home of Iron River. Funeral services will follow at 11 a.m. at Jacobs Funeral Home, with Rev.
