Thomas J. Fritz

Thomas J. Fritz, age 75, of Iron River, Michigan, passed away Sunday, January 8, 2017 at the Aspirus Iron River Hospital in Iron River. He was born January 6, 1942 in Milwaukee, WI, the son of the late Erwin and Lydia (Bartsch) Fritz.   Tom married Susan K. Proksch on September 10, 1966 in Iron River. The couple celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary last year. They were lifelong residents of the area and very active in the Iron County community. He was the owner and operator of the Riverside Pizzeria, along with his wife, Sue. He was an avid antique car enthusiast and Green Bay Packer football fan. Tom is survived by his wife, Susan; son, Thomas E. (Susan) Fritz; grandson, Colin Fritz; brother, James (Connie) Fritz and sister, Kathryn (Paul) Refsell. He was preceded in death by his son, John.   In accordance with Tom’s wishes, private family services will be held.
