Thomas J. Komulainen

Thomas J. Komulainen, age 46, Iron River, MI died Monday, January 21, 2008 at his home. Born: May 18, 1961 in Iron River. The son of George and Mary Ann (Komulainen) Biggin was a lifelong resident. He attended the West Iron County Schools, and while in high school participated in the High School Bowl. He graduated in 1979 with honors. He then attended Michigan Technological University in Houghton, MI and graduated with a Bachelors Degree in Electrical Engineering and a Masters Degree in Chemical Engineering. Tom returned to Iron River and operated Biggin and Uren Logging Company and then Biggin Forest Products for over 18 years. The last five years he was a professional poker player, and was ranked 28th in the nation. He was an avid Green Bay Packer fan, enjoyed the outdoors, fishing, hunting, and playing cards. He was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his brother, Todd (Rikki) Biggin of Iron River Sister, Georgia Ann (Jonah) Turbessi of Iron River Nieces, Jordyn and Malia Nephew, Nathaniel Private Family Services Funeral arrangements by the Jacobs Funeral Home, Iron River.
