Thomas W. McMahon Age 88 Iron River, MIDied Sunday, September 25, 2011at the Iron County Medical Care Facility, Crystal Falls, MI. Born: November 7, 1922 in Ashland, WI The son of Thomas and Arline (Thiese) McMahon attended the Pioneer School and graduated from Iron River High School. He was a U.S. Navy Veteran of WWII, serving in the Construction Battalion. He was self employed in the construction industry for over 50 years. Thomas married the former Ann Povich on November 17, 1945 in Great Lakes, IL and the couple made their home in Iron River. They celebrated their 62nd wedding anniversary in 2007. Ann preceded him in death on November 8, 2008. He was a member of the American Legion Alfred Branchini Post #17 of Iron River. He was preceded in death by his parents, Thomas M. and Arline, and brother, Jim. He is survived by brothers, Jerry (Rosetta) McMahon of Iron River Michael (Marie) McMahon of Oskosh, WI Pat McMahon of Mammoth City, FL Nieces, nephews and extended family Visitation: Wednesday, September 28, 2011 from 9:30 to 10:45 at the Jacobs Funeral Home, Iron River Funeral Service: Wednesday, September 28, 2011 at 11 a.m. at the Jacobs Funeral Home, Iron River, with Deacon Robert Kostka to officiate.
