Thomas C. Tipler

Thomas C. Tipler, age 62, of Tipler, WI, passed away on Monday, August 14, 2023, at Riverview Health Services in Tomahawk, WI. He was born on April 24, 1961, in Kingsford, MI, the son of the late Clarence and Beverly (Corrigan) Tipler. Tom attended school at Florence, WI and the West Iron County Community Schools. He was a US Army National Guard member. He was employed as a sawmill laborer in Tipler and Long Lake, WI. Tom served his community in the Lions Club and the Strum Foundation. He was a member of The American Legion Reino Post 21 in Iron River, Northwoods Lions Club, Crandon, Lions Club, and Goodman-Armstrong Creek Lions Club. He enjoyed hunting and visiting with his friends and was an avid Milwaukee Brewers and Green Bay Packers fan. Tom is survived by his brothers, Clayton (Roxanne) Tipler of Davenport, FL and Jeff (Michelle) Tipler of Casco, WI; sisters, Cathy (Charles) Bahlow of Tomahawk, WI and Mari Tipler of Rhinelander, WI; niece, Jayme (Ryan) Matsen; great nephew, Erik Matsen; best friend, Gary White and the White family; extended family and friends. He was preceded in death by his foster parents, Wesley and Mary Wickstrom of Florence, WI. A visitation will be held on Saturday, August 26, 2023, from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. at the Long Lake Bible Church. A memorial service will follow at 3 p.m. with Pastor Gary White to officiate.
