Tillie A. Brunswick

Tillie A. Brunswick, age 94, of Caspian, MI, passed away on Saturday, May 20, 2017 at the Freeman Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Kingsford, Michigan.   Tillie was born on November 25, 1922 in Colbassano, Italy, the daughter of the late Mario and Giovanna (Angeli) Spigarelli. Tillie attended the Iron Mountain schools and graduated from the Iron River High School in 1943. She worked at several retail businesses in the area for 25 years. Tillie married Chester Brunswick on June 21, 1947 at St. Agnes Catholic Church in Iron River, MI. They celebrated their 41st wedding anniversary in 1988. Chester preceded her in death in 1989. Tillie was a member of St. Cecilia Catholic Church, St. Ann’s Society, and the Italian Ladies. She enjoyed cooking and spending time with her family. She is survived by her sons, Mark (Carol) Brunswick of Iron River and Mike (Rhonda) Brunswick of Iron Mountain, MI; daughter, JoAnn (Frank) Koenig of Elkins, WV; nine grandchildren; and thirteen great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Christina Brunswick; brother, Duvilio Spigarelli, and her sister, Mary Ann Dallavalle. As per Tillie’s request, a private family celebration will be held.
