Val M. Petersen

Val M. Petersen, 67, of Iron River, MI, passed away on Thursday, December 5, 2024. He was born on December 1, 1957, in Milwaukee, WI, the son of the late Donald and Sylvia (Visue) Petersen. He attended the Waterford, WI Schools, graduating with the class of 1976. Val married Rhonda Waters on June 29, 1979, in Waukesha, WI. They celebrated their 45th wedding anniversary this year. He was employed as a power plant engineer for Wisconsin Electric prior to retiring. Val loved to fish, go for UTV rides, and just being outdoors. He enjoyed spending time on Hagerman Lake with his family. Val is survived by his Rhonda; son, Ryan Petersen of Iron River; brothers, Mark Petersen of Burlington, WI and Brian Petersen of Milwaukee, WI; sister, Tammy (Tony) Hintz of Muskego, WI; best friend and brother-in-law, Greg Waters; nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends.
