Vera A. Otis Age 87 Ashland, WI Died Sunday, July 3, 2011 in Ashland, WI Born: August 6, 1923 in Caspian, MI The daughter of the late Peter and Genevieve (Shubat) Kruzich attended the Stambaugh Schools, graduating from Stambaugh High School in 1941. She then attended and graduated from St. Joseph Hospital School of Nursing in Ashland, WI. She was employed as a nurse for ten years. Vera married Gale Otis on February 14, 1952 in Duluth, MN and they celebrated their Golden Wedding Anniverary in 2002. Gale preceded her in death in 2002, and she was also preceded in death by her brother-in-law, Clifford ""Jake"" Hilberg. Vera was a member of the Croatian Fraternal Union. She is survived by her brother, Ernest Kruzich of Caspian Sister, Wilma Hilberg of Iron River Nephew, Tom Hilberg of Alpena, MI Niece, Janet McCann of Eau Claire, WI Three great nephews and one great niece Visitation: Friday, July 8, 2011 from 10:30 a.m. to 12:00 noon at the Jacobs Funeral Home, Iron River Funeral Service: Friday, July 8, 2011 at 12:00 noon at the Jacobs Funeral Home, Iron River, with Rev.
