Verdilla R. Nacius

Verdilla R. Nacius, age 83 of Long Lake, WI, died Wednesday, May 27, 2009 at her home. Born: August 21, 1925 in Glidden, WI The daughter of the late Otto G. and Helen M. (Schoch) Throm attended the Glidden schools and graduated. She married Charles Nacius on May 27, 1961 in Waukegan, IL and resided in Long Lake for the last 31 years. The couple celebrated their 38th wedding anniversary in 1999. Charles preceded her in death on July, 13, 1999. Verdilla's passion in life was her family and friends. She enjoyed cooking, sharing her baked goods with everyone, and crocheting. She was also preceded in death by her brothers, Elmer and Leroy Throm and sister, Leona Hendenrich. She is survived by four sons; David (Kitty) Regner of Waukesha, WI Kenneth Nacius of Milwaukee, WI Thomas Nacius of Brodhead, WI Randy (Jeanne) Nacius of Iron River, MI Two daughters; Karen (William) Streu of Long Lake, WI Sandra (Jerry) Myhre of Jefferson, WI One sister, Dorothy Pieters 14 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren Numerous nieces and nephews Memorial services will be held at a later date to be announced.
