Veronica J. Gore

Veronica J. Gore, age 103, of Iron River, MI, passed away on Monday, December 17, 2018 at the Iron County Medical Care Facility.  She was born on March 19, 1915 in Iron River, MI; the daughter of the late Phillip and Helen (Gendzwill) Goriesky. She was a graduate of Iron River High School.  She was employed as a clerk in public works at the Chicago, IL City Hall for over 25 years, prior to her retirement in 1970.  Veronica was a member the Pallet and Chisel Art Club.  She enjoyed artwork, painting in oil, acrylics, and watercolor.  She also enjoyed speaking French. She loved cats and had five of her own.  Veronica is survived by her sister, Agatha Woons of San Francisco, CA and was a loving aunt to many nieces, nephews, and extended family. She was preceded in death by her brothers, Zigmund, Edmund, Louis, William, James, and Leo Goriesky, and sisters, Yoland Verville, Agnes McKay, and Rose Stehno.
