Victoria Broslavick

Victoria “Vickie” Broslavick, age 92, formerly of Gaastra, MI, passed away on May 1, 2020. Vickie was born December 10, 1927 in Caspian, MI and was a lifelong resident of the area. She attended the Stambaugh Schools and graduated with the Class of 1945. Vickie married Frank “Chunny” Broslavick on July 9, 1949 at the St. Cecilia Catholic Church of Caspian. The couple celebrated their 34th wedding anniversary, before Frank’s passing on July 4, 1983. Vickie is survived by her three children, Linda Eye of Saline, MI, Debra (Dave) Boden of Appleton, WI, and Steve (Christy) Broslavick of Topeka, KS; six grandchildren, Maureen (Kevin) Krause, Sean (Kirstin) Eye, Barry Eye (Cassandra Esposito), Shannon (Matt) Jensen, Brenda Boden (Brian Treece), and Kelsey (Nathan) Wehrman; ten great grandchildren, Brendan, Natalie and Lacey Krause, Liam and Drew Eye, Alison, Emily and Andrew Jensen, Ada and Lennon Treece. In addition to her husband, Vickie was also preceded in death by her father, Emilio Biondi (1971}, mother, Elvira Dalessandri Biondi (1980}, brother, Francesco Biondi (1936}, brother, Robert “Bob” Biondi (2005), and sister, Mildred Rometti (2016). Vickie was a caring wife as well as a giving mother, grandmother and great grandmother who seized every opportunity to be with her family and make memories. During her 37 years as a widow, she did not hesitate to get on the road to visit with her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. Vickie had several work opportunities before retiring in May of 1988. Throughout the years, she was employed at the Iron River Creamery, West Iron County Middle School, Michigan Secretary of State Office and the Iron County Housing Office. She was a spirited independent lady who thoroughly enjoyed golfing, dancing, bocce ball, card playing, and bowling. The family would like to extend heartfelt appreciation to the entire staff at the Memory Care Unit at Cambrian Senior Living in Tecumseh, Michigan, Kresge Rehabilitation Unit in Chelsea, Michigan and to the Arbor Hospice of North Star Care Community in Ann Arbor, Michigan for the compassionate care Vickie received during the COVID-19 Pandemic. A private immediate family service will be held in keeping with Covid-19 State and Federal guidelines. Interment will be in Stambaugh Cemetery.
