Wayde G. Yarger

Wayde G. Yarger, 67, of Garden City, MI, passed away on Thursday, September 17, 2026, at Aspirus Iron River Hospital.

He was born on October 14, 1958, in Monroe, MI, the son of Olin Yarger and Janice (née Berta) Martinson. He graduated from Calumet, MI High School with the Class of 1976.

Wayde met the love of his life Dawn Yarber in 1999. They celebrated 27 years together this year.

He was a self-employed carpenter. Wayde enjoyed fishing, bowling, hunting, and golfing. He was an avid Detroit Lions, Tigers, and Redwings fan. Wayde was a happy-go-lucky guy and devoted to family and friends.

Wayde is survived by his significant other, Dawn; father, Olin Yarger in Mohawk, MI; mother, Janice Martinson of Amasa, MI; son, Daryll (Holly) Yarger of Florida; brothers, Dwight (Brady) Yarger of Wisconsin and Travis (Michelle) Yarger of Kentucky; sister, Melody Winter of Virginia; extended family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his stepfather, John Martinson; father-in-law, Bob Yarber; paternal grandparents, Robert and Genevieve Yarger; and maternal grandparents, Charley and Viola Berta.

Private family services will be held.
