Wesley M. Howell Age 87 Long Lake, WI Went to be with his Savior on Thursday, June 25, 2009 at the Iron County Medical Care Facility, Crystal Falls, MI. Born February 21, 1922 in Tipler, WI The son of the late William and Rachel (Grandine) Howell attended the Tipler Grade School and Stambaugh High School. Wesley married the former June A. Jones on September 11, 1941 in Long Lake, and the couple were lifelong residents of the area. The couple celebrated their 67th wedding anniversary in 2008. He was employed as a machine operator for Cleerman Machine & Tool for many years and was employed by the M.A. Hanna Mining Company as a miner for 15 years. Wesley pastored at the Pentecostal Church in Long Lake and Alvin for many years and loved to share scripture with people. His greatest love was the Lord and his family. He enjoyed trout fishing and deer hunting, and especially enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren and great grandchildren. We are all going to miss you dearly Dad, but we know you're with Jesus. Thank you for teaching all of us to love God through your example and service to Him. We will meet you at the Eastern Gate like you told us. Meanwhile, we'll do our best to keep the trout population from over-running the Brule. He was preceded in death by brothers Lester, John and William Howell and sisters Sylvia Renberg and Nancy Williams. He is survived by his wife June Two sons; Wesley (Laura) Howell of Pine City, MN Daniel Howell of Florence, WI Three daughters; Bonita Howell of Appleton, WI Barbara (Dale) Welch of Marinette, WI Idalisa (James) Ritchie of Long Lake, WI Sister, Rachel Koerth of Kenosha, WI Sister-in-law Roseanne Howell of Pleasant Prairie, WI Sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Pete (Faye) Barber 13 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren Nieces and nephews Visitation: Monday, June 29, 2009 from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at the Pentecostal Church, Long Lake Funeral Services: Monday, June 29, 2009 at 1 p.m. at the Pentecostal Church, Long Lake, with Pastor Charles Welch and Pastor Dale Welch (son-in-law) to officiate.
