William G. Davies

William G. Davies, age 74, of Columbus, WI, passed away on Thursday, August 22, 2019 at Randolph Health Services in Randolph, WI. He was born on March 22, 1945 in Chicago, IL, the son of the late William and Ella (Mustonen) Davies.  William attended the Phelps Schools, graduating with the Class of 1963.  He was an engineer in US Army building bridges and earned a Marksmanship in Rifle badge.    After his honorable discharge, William farmed with his parents until his retirement.  He was a member of the American Legion and VFW Stateline Post 8400 of Land O’Lakes, WI.  He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and walking his dogs.  William is survived by his sister, Bette (Mark) Graper of Columbus, WI; aunts, Joyce Davies of Iron River, MI and family and Marge Wykoski of Eagle River, WI and sons of Three Lakes, WI; uncle, Nick DeMers of Land O’Lakes, WI and his son; and several cousins.         Visitation will be held on Wednesday, August 28, 2019 from 10:00 to 11:00am at the Jacobs Funeral Home of Iron River.  A prayer service will be held at 11am with Deacon Robert Kostka.
