William Hasenberg

William H. Hasenberg, 84, Land O 'Lakes, WI, passed away Wednesday, March 20, 2013 at Rennes Nursing Home, Rhinelander, WI. He was born November 3, 1928 in Ewen, MI, the son of the late Joseph and Margaret (Bouvier) Hasenberg. He attended the Ewen Public Schools and graduated. William was employed in the auto manufacturing industry for 30 years. He served his country in the United States Army. William was a member of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church of Ewen, the American Legion, Third Degree Knights of Columbus and Fourth Degree Knights of Columbus of Iron River. He enjoyed playing sports. He was preceded in death by his sister, Mary Lontkowski. He is survived by his brother, Fr. Aloysius Hasenberg of Land O 'Lakes, WI, and sister, Louise Daigneault of Colorado Springs, CO. Visitation will be held Monday, March 25, 2013 from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. CST at the Jacobs Funeral Home of Iron River. The Rosary will be recited at 7:00 p.m. The Fourth Degree Knights of Columbus will form an Honor Guard at the visitation. The Mass of Christian Burial will be held Tuesday, March 26, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. EST at Sacred Heart Catholic Church of Ewen. Interment will be in Ewen Cemetery in the spring.
