William R. Winget

William R. Winget, age 74 of Iron River, MI died Tuesday, December 30, 2008 at the Iron County Community Hospital. He was born November 3, 1934 in Huntertown, IN to Albert and Margaret (Coons) Winget. He married the former Lynne Jeppeson on August 12, 1963 at the Grace Lutheran Church, Fort Wayne, IN and the couple made their home in Fort Wayne. He was employed for over 20 years as a lathe operator for Indiana Wire Die, retiring in 2000. The couple moved to the Iron River area five years ago and made their home in Bates Township. They celebrated their 45th wedding anniversary this year. William was an avid Indiana University and Cubs fan and enjoyed fishing, bowling, and playing poker. He especially enjoyed spending time with his family. He was preceded in death by his parents, an infant daughter Christine Lee Winget, brothers; Paul, Floyd and Gerald Winget and sisters; Nellie Cullen, Mary Bieber, and Mable Fritzinger. He is survived by his wife Lynne Son, James Winget of Iron River Daughters; Margaret Bender of Kendallville, IN Cindy (John) Worthman of Fort Wayne, IN Brother, Walter (Ruth) Winget of Fort Wayne, IN Sister, Opal Reddin of Old Town, FL Four grandchildren One great grandchild Nieces and nephews Visitation: Saturday, January 3, 2009 from 12:00 to 2:00 p.m. at the Jacobs Funeral Home, Iron River.
