William “Bill” H. Yeadon, age 69, of Iron River, MI, passed away on Tuesday, June 16, 2015 at the Iron County Medical Care Facility, Crystal Falls, MI and he now rejoices with his Father in Heaven. He was born April 15, 1946 in Hancock, MI, the son of the late Donald and Betty (Stenson) Yeadon. He attended the L’Anse Schools, graduating from L’Anse High School. He then attended the University of Ohio in Dayton. He worked as an electrical engineer in the motor industry. He founded Yeadon Engineering Services in 1995. Colleagues highly respect him for his accomplishments and participation in professional associations. He taught many motor design seminars. Bill married the former Mary Beth Stairs on May 25, 2003 in Iron River, and the couple made their home in Iron River. He was a member of the Trinity Lutheran Church of Iron River, the Masonic Lodge, Shriners, Jesters, and Scottish Right. He was also a Hunter Safety Instructor. He was a Green Bay Packer fan, and enjoyed music, hunting, collecting guns and guitars, and Maxwell’s equations. Bill is survived by his wife, Mary; son, Alan (Kristine) Yeadon of Oostburg, WI; daughter, Joely (Scott) Vierck of Norway, MI; brothers, Tom (Nancy) Yeadon of Okemos, MI, Jim Yeadon of Madison, WI, and Robert (Barb) Yeadon of Sacramento, CA; 16 grandchildren; four great grandchildren; nieces, nephews, and extended family. He was preceded in death by his daughters, Jeanine and Dawn. Visitation will be held Saturday, June 20, 2015 from 9:00 to 10:45 a.m. at the First Lutheran Church of Iron River. Funeral services will follow at 11 a.m. with Rev. Kevin Kaiser to officiate. Attendees are asked to refrain from use of perfumes and colognes.
