Zachary Thomas Zeller, age 28, of Iron River, MI, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, June 5, 2022, in Hayward, WI. He was born on February 24, 1994, in Iron Mountain, MI, the son of Michael Zeller and Danette (Tronti) Gagnea. Zachary attended West Iron County Schools and graduated with the class of 2012. He then attended Northern Michigan University. He was employed as a Survey Party Chief for Encompass Energy Services. Zachary was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church and a former member of the West Iron County Fire Department. He also enjoyed hunting, fishing, mudding, crawfish boils, camping, and spending time with his family, many friends, and his faithful riding companion, his dog Maverick. Zachary was a big fan of LSU football and had found his second home in Springhill, LA, where he grew a huge Louisiana family. Zachary is survived by his father, Michael (Amy) Zeller of Wakefield, MI; mother, Danette Gagnea of Iron River, MI; sisters, Lexi (Mitch Bal) Vicenzi of Saginaw, MI and Maddilyn Zeller of Wakefield, MI; brother, Josh Gagnea of Iron River, MI and “brother”, Dylan Hooper; maternal grandparents, Pauline and Jimmie Mulari of South Range, MI; paternal grandparents, Ron and Mary Anne Zeller of Iron River, MI; aunt, Sara (Josh) Nodurft; uncles, Steve (Kris) Zeller, Shawn Tronti, Mike Tronti, and Clint Benson; cousins, Dylan, Brynlee, Kaelyn, Marena, Silus, Courtney, Ellie, Mason, and Kadince; godfather, Tom Fritz; extended family and friends. He was preceded in death by his aunt, Barb Podner. Visitation will be held on Friday, June 17, 2022, from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at the Jacobs Funeral Home of Iron River. Members of the Iron County Firemen's Association will hold a pass and review at 10:00 a.m. A funeral service will follow at 12 p.m. with Andy Hill, LLM to officiate.
