Zara M. Aldegarie

Mrs. Zara M. Aldegarie, age 92, Caspian, MI died Tuesday, November 20, 2007 at the Iron River Care Center. Born: July 4, 1915 in Caspian. The daughter of the late Lewis and Louisa (Peruzzi) Zini attended the Stambaugh schools. She married Santo Aldegarie in Caspian and they were lifelong residents of Caspian. He preceded her in death. Zara was a member of St. Cecilia Catholic Church and St. Anne's Society. She volunteered at the Iron River Care Center and worked in the kitchen at St. Cecilia Church for funeral luncheons. She was also involved in initiating getting ""Jaws of Life"" in Iron County. She was a sponsor of St. Jude's Cancer Center, Boys Town in Nebraska, and the Michigan Sheriff's Association. She loved to bake and cook. She was also preceded in death by one son, Alan Aldegarie, one daughter, Louise Boele Aldegarie, one brother, Leno Zini, and one sister, Rita Zini Lind. She is survived by two sons; Joe (Sandy) Aldegarie of Missoula, MT Paul Aldegarie of Iron River, MI One daughter; Joanne Aldegarie of Green Bay, WI Two brothers; Dan Zini of Iron Mountain, MI Raymond Zini of Caspian One sister, Lea Zini DeMillo of Crystal Falls, MI Visitation: Monday, November 26, 2007 from 9:00 to 11:00 at St. Cecilia Catholic Church, Caspian, MI. Funeral Service: Monday, November 26, 2007 at 11:00 a.m. at St Cecilia Catholic Church, Caspian, with Rev. Norman Clisch, pastor, to offer the Mass of Christian Burial. The ladies of St. Anne's Society will provide an honor guard for the funeral. Funeral arrangements by the Jacobs Funeral Home, Iron River.
