Robert E. Hartenberger

Robert E. Hartenberger, age 67, of Long Lake, WI, died Tuesday, October 21, 2014 at his home. He was born July 19, 1947 in Waukegan, IL, the son of the late Henery and Luella (Knaub) Hartenberger. He attended the St. Paul’s Lutheran School and graduated from Grafton High School with the Class of 1967. Robert married the former Amy Preisler on December 1, 1979 in Cedarburg, WI. She preceded him in death. He was employed as a machinist for Mercury Marine for over 42 years, retiring in 2008. Following retirement, Robert moved to the Long Lake area to make his home. Robert was a member of the Grafton Fire Department. An avid outdoorsman, he enjoyed hunting and fishing. He is survived by two brothers-in-law, Guy (Sylvia) Preisler of Fond Du Lac, WI, and Raymond (Beverly) Preisler of Saukville, WI; uncle, Ernest (Mildred) Fromm of Grafton, WI; friend, Jerry Nelson of Long Lake; nieces, nephews, and extended family.
