Margaret L. Barry, age 97, of Iron River, MI, passed away on Sunday, December 30, 2018 at Aspirus Iron River Hospital. She was born on May 22, 1921 in Stambaugh, MI; the daughter of the late Adolph and Minnie (Borkofski) DeLeske. She attended the Stambaugh Schools, graduating from Stambaugh High School, with the Class of 1940. Margaret married Clement Barry on January 17, 1942 in Stambaugh, where the couple made their home. The couple celebrated their 38th wedding anniversary in 1980. Clement preceded her in death. She was employed at Coleman Products. She was a member of St. Mark’s Evangelical Lutheran Church of Iron River and the Ladies Aid Society. She enjoyed sewing, crocheting, knitting, raising her children, attending Bible Class, and singing in the choir at St. Mark’s. Margaret is survived by her sons, Darin Barry of Iron River, and Kurt (Betty) Barry of Muskego, WI; daughter, DeLonne Barry of Shoreview, MN; grandchildren, Tyler, Shana, Lance, Brittanie, Marc and Renee; great grandchildren, Reilly, Trinity, McKenna, Vincent, Mavrick, Colston, Brock, Eli, Janea, and Tahlia; nieces, nephews, and extended family. Besides her parents and husband, Margaret was preceded in death by her brother, Edward DeLeske; sisters, Emily Mundell, Arta McClain, and Alice Williams; and granddaughter, Ellison DuCharme. Private services will be held. Interment will be in Stambaugh Cemetery in the spring. The family would like to thank Dr. Robert Han and the Aspirus Iron River Hospital, especially the ICU unit.
