Henrietta M. Ramberg, age 97 of Iron River, MI, died Thursday, July 22, 2010 at her home.
Born: April 14, 1913 in Mansfield Township, MI
The daughter of the late Secundo and Ida (Toti) Dominici attended the Iron River schools.
Henrietta married Edward W. Ramberg on November 12, 1955 in Iron River, and the couple were lifelong residents of the area. They celebrated their 46th wedding anniversary in 2001. Edward preceded her in death on January 30, 2002.
She worked as a sales clerk at Matt Toti's Clothing for over 40 years prior to her retirement.
She was a member of St. Agnes Catholic Church of Iron River and St. Agnes Altar Society, Charter and oldest member of the Italian Ladies Benefit Society, and member of the Birthday Club and the Lady Elks. She was an avid card player and loved to dance. Family was very important to her and she loved spending time with her grandchildren, great grandchildren and great, great grandchild.
She is survived by her son, Anthony D. Ohrt of Iron River

She was also preceded in death by two sisters, Evelyn Vantaggi and Ann Windsor.
Visitation: Tuesday, July 27, 2010 from 9:00 to 10:45 a.m. at the Jacobs Funeral Home, Iron River. A Lady Elks Memorial Service will be conducted at 10 a.m.
Funeral Service: Tuesday, July 27, 2010 at 11 a.m. at St. Agnes Catholic Church, Iron River, with Rev. Norman Clisch to offer the Mass of Christian Burial. The Ladies of the Italian Ladies Society will form an Honor Guard at the service.
Interment: Stambaugh Cemetery, Iron River

Sallie A. Wahlberg, age 72 of Iron River, MI, died Friday, July 16, 2010 at her home in Bates Township.
Born: October 30, 1937 in Rockford, IL
The daughter of the late Oscar and Alma Olson attended the Rockford Schools, graduating from Rockford High School.
Sallie married Gerald J. Wahlberg on September 19, 1957 and the couple moved to the Three Lakes, WI area in 1976. The couple later moved to the Iron River area and made their home in Bates Township. They celebrated their 49th wedding anniversary in 2006. Gerald preceded her in death on July 14, 2007.
She was a member of Jehovah's Witness Kingdom Hall of Iron River. She loved to cook, sew, and work in her yard.
She is survived by three sons; Joe (Melissa) Wahlberg of Baraga, MI
John (Rebekah) Wahlberg of Iron River
Michael Wahlberg of Eagle River, WI
One daughter, Christine (Karl) Gaffron of Three Lakes, WI
Six grandchildren; Tim, Lexie, Hayley, Kayla, Megan,
and Lauren
Special cousin, Douglas (Joy) Olson of Rockford, IL

Curtis W. DeVore

Curtis W. DeVore, age 24 of Iron River, MI, died Sunday, July 4, 2010 at his home.
Born: January 20, 1986 in Rawlins, WY
The son of Charles and Candie (Smith) DeVore attended the West Iron County Schools, graduating in 2005, and was a lifelong resident of the area. He was employed by Northwoods Manufacturing of Kingsford for several years, worked with several loggers, and was later employed by Connor Sports Flooring of Amasa.
An avid outdoorsman, Curtis loved the woods and enjoyed hunting and fishing. He also liked the horses at the farm.
He is survived by his mother, Candie of Iron River

Memorial Service: Friday, July 9, 2010 at 2:00 p.m. at the Jacobs Funeral Home, Iron River with Rev. Tim Hall to officiate.
